Woman crushed under train

A sexagenarian woman was crushed under the wheels of a train in Meherchondi Purbopara area adjacent to Rajshahi University yesterday. Mentioning that there were no witnesses of the accident, Sayeed Iqbal, officer-in-charge of Rajshahi Railway Police Station, said police recovered the body of the unidentified woman when locals informed them about it which was lying on the rail track. The body was sent to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital for autopsy and police are trying to identify the deceased, the OC added. The woman might have committed suicide, said locals.
