2 electrocuted in Gaibandha

A woman and her nephew died from electrocution in Kuptola union parishad of Sadar upazila on yesterday morning, reports UNB from Gaibandha. The deceased were identified as Kolpana Begum, 29, wife of Habibur Rahman Habi. and her nephew Raihan, 14, son of Shahin Miah, both residents of the union. Witnesses said Kalpona got electrocuted while she was keeping wet clothes on an iron rod at her house in the morning. Hearing her screams, Raihan went there and tried to rescue her, but eventually got electrocuted himself. Later, they were rushed to Gaibandha Modern Sadar Hospital where doctors declared them dead.
