Prime accused held in Pabna

Police in a drive arrested the prime accused in a case filed in connection with the killing of businessman  Anup from Gobinda area in the town on Thursday  night, reports UNB from Pabna. The arrestee was identified as Rana alias Ranga, 26, son of Mohon Ali of Pabna municipality area. Abdullah Al Hasan, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station, said acting on secret information, a team of police conducted a drive in Gobinda area and arrested Rana around 10 pm. After primary interrogation, Rana confessed that he had killed his friend (Anup) over previous enmity, said OC. Earlier, Anup Agarwal, 32, a garments businessman and son of Shyamsundar Agarwal, was hacked to death by some miscreants in Dilalpur Town Hall area on Wednesday night.
