Munia busy with TV shows, dramas

Ever since she stepped into the showbiz with her maiden drama serial ‘Agnipath’ in 2012, young talented actress Munia Islam has always been busy with acting most of the time. Also, she has risen as an anchor over the years, taking inspiration from her profession of acting.

At present, the anchor-actress has her hands full with several TV shows and dramas. Munia has been anchoring popular show ‘Gaane Gaane Sakal Shuru’ on Channel i for the last three years. Moreover, she is going to start anchoring yet another show titled ‘Ebong Cinemar Gaan’ on Channel i from today.

Alongside anchoring shows on Channel i, Munia is currently hosting two more shows titled ‘Rock & Roll’ and ‘Rock Carnival’ on BTV.

Meanwhile, Munia has started working in Rulin Rahman-directed new drama serial ‘Sutoy Badha Sukher Payra’. In addition, she is set to start working soon in another drama serial ‘Twin Villa’ under the direction of Azad Kalam.

Munia said about keeping herself busy with anchoring and acting at the same time, “Acting and anchoring are two separate entities. My passion and fascination towards these two fields also vary. This is true that my identity of an actor comes first before anything.”

Munia-starrer notable dramas are ‘Bou Boka Dei’, ‘Tumi Asbe Bole’ and ‘Third Generation’, among others. She also acted in Gias Uddin Selim’s film ‘Swapnajal’.
