89 to vie for each JnU seat

The admission test for the first year honours courses under ‘D’ unit (Social Science Faculty) of Jagannath University (JnU) for the academic session 2015-16 will be held today, a press release issued by JnU Public Relation Office said. The test will be held simultaneously at 24 centres in and outside of the campus from 3pm to 4pm. A total of 49,930 admission seekers will sit for this examination against 560 seats while 89 examinees will vie for each seat.The applicants must have to carry SSC and HSC registration cards and two copies of admit cards of admission test on the exam centre also been advised not to bring any electronic devices in exam centre following new uniform code. The detailed information will be available on the university website www.jnu.ac.bd. Besides, the admission tests for the first year BSc Engineering and BURP courses under the academic sessions 2015-16 of Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) will be held today from 9am to 12 noon, said a university press release.
A total of 10,207 admission seekers were primary qualified for 11 (eleven) departments under three faculties will participate in the test against 875 seats, the press release added. Sources also said on an average 12 candidates will vie for each seat.
All information relating to admission will be available on university website (www.admission.kuet.ac.bd). Besides, further information about admission can be obtained after contacting office of the Registrar of the university (PABX +880-41-769468-Ext: 158, 138, 189).
