The International Business Forum of Bangladesh (IBFB) urged the US authorities to restore Bangladesh's Generalised System of Preference (GSP) status, reports BSS.
A delegation of the IBFB raised the issue of revival of GSP facilities for Bangladeshi products on the US market at a meeting with the US State Department.
The meeting was held on Tuesday in Washington DC, said an IBFB press release.
IBFB president Hafizur Rahman Khan and founding chairman of the chamber-body Mahmudul Islam Chowdhury held the meeting with Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Economic
and Business Affairs Kurt W Tong and Officer for Bangladesh Affairs in the State Department Gilbert Morton.
