A Chinese citizen died at Payra Thermal Power Plant area in Kalapara upazila of Patuakhali on Monday night.
The deceased identified as Wang Bin, 53, was an engineer of Payra Thermal Power Plant, hailing from Sangji area of Jiangsu in China. Doctors suspected that he died of cardiac arrest.
Md Shaheed Ullah Bhuiyan, an official of Bangladesh-China Power Company Ltd, said Wang Bin was immediately taken to Kalapara upazila Health Complex when he fell ill at 7pm. JH Khan Leylin, medical officer of the Kalapara Upazila Health Complex, declared him dead.
Md Monirul Islam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Kalapara Police Station said his body was handed over to the Bangladesh-China Power Generation Company.
