Thai team wins championship of 8th Chinese Bridge competition

On Oct 31, the 8th Chinese Bridge, a Chinese proficiency competition for foreign secondary school students, concluded in Kunming.

After intense competition, the Thai team won the championship of the 8th Chinese Bridge competition, while the top prize for individuals were claimed by three contestants from Serbia, Cambodia, and the United States. All prize winners were awarded scholarships provided by the Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban).

During the competition, contestants presented their skills through talent shows, including reciting, calligraphy, painting, paper-cutting, long-sleeve dancing, martial arts, and traditional instruments. The shows mixed foreign cultures with Yunnan styles.
