Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre (IGCC) is organising a musical evening titled ‘Samapa’ with the Hindustani Classical Vocal Music Department of IGCC at its Gulshan premises in the city today.
Led by Shri Santosh Kumar Mishra, an ICCR teacher from India, the programme will be presented by the students of IGCC. The following Raagas will be presented – Raag Bhimpalashi by Razia Munni, Raag Yaman by Anindita Roy and Raag Tilak Kamod by Shyamoli Das. The programme will be ended with Ghazals by Shri Santosh Kumar Mishra.
Born in a traditional music family, Shri Santosh Kumar Mishra is an expert in Indian Classical Music. He learnt music in his childhood from his father Shri Mithilesh Mishra and then become an expert under his guru Ustad Gulam Mohammad Khan of Kirana gharana. Shri Santosh Kumar Mishra has given many performances in All India Radio, National School of Drama etc.
