Should borders be removed?

Should borders be removed?

Tashfiq Bin Maksud

A world without borders may seem to be a pleasant and peaceful concept which can trigger a global revolution. But unfortunately this can create a lot of issues which, without a doubt, can be more chaotic than the ones we are presently facing.
Removing all borders from the world will mean only one governing body administrating the entire world. A single government, however, cannot handle peace and harmony as it will be too much to take on. On the other hand, cultural discrimination will become inevitable. Only a few societies will get government priorities while the others will become disarray and finally go extinct.
Even from the economical perspective, prior to the foundation of an administrative body, majority of the regions of the globe will be treated as outcasts or will be given less priority at least. Only the preferred regions will flourish. Pandemonium will take place as rights will not be given any priority.
These will ignite regional skirmishes or conflicts over resources or even discrimination. Global unrest in such a massive scale can deteriorate the administration and cause chaos throughout the world, which can lead to the formation of borders again.
Yes, our present world is focusing on globalization but it does not necessarily mean elimination of borders from the world. It rather contemplates the serene co-operation of the countries and deal with the world’s problems together. So the governments should work together to create a better world rather than fighting for global dominance.
