A red carpet was rolled out as Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina arrived in Amsterdam amid a rousing reception on a three-day official visit to the Netherlands at the invitation of her Dutch counterpart Mark Rutte, reports UNB.
A VVIP flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying the Prime Minister and her entourage landed at the Amsterdam Schiphol Airport Centre at 8.30 pm (The Netherlands time). Dutch Minister of Infrastructure and Environment Melanie Schultz van Haegen, Bangladesh Ambassador to the Netherlands Sheikh Muhammad Belal and Dutch Ambassador in Dhaka Leoni Margaretha Cuelenaera received the Prime Minister at the airport.
On her way to Amsterdam, the Premier earlier made a five-hour stopover in Abu Dhabi.
After a warm reception at the Amsterdam Schiphol Airport Centre, the Prime Minister was taken to Grand Hotel Amrath Kurhaus in The Hague, the administrative capital of the Netherlands, through a ceremonial motorcade.
