Dipan�s father gets death threat

Professor Abul Kashem Fazlul Haque, father of murdered progressive publisher Faisal Arefin Dipan has received death threat from an unidentified man yesterday, Talking to journalist, the former Dhaka University professor said someone called at his land phone number at around 11am at the Paribag residence in the capital and threatened him with death.
Abul Kashem, also a freedom fighter, said he was feeling insecure. “I participated in all the movements of the country including the War of Liberation, but never felt insecure like I feel now.”
“This is first time I am feeling very insecure and also under serious mental pressure” he lamented.
He, however, did not give any further details."I won't say anything about it," he added.
Earlier, he had said, "Many people have asked me to file a case over my son's murder, but I know I won't get justice."
Dipan, 45, proprietor of 'Jagriti Prokashani', was stabbed to death by miscreants on the 2nd floor of Aziz Super Market in the city's Shahbagh area on Saturday. He was the publisher of a book of slain writer and blogger Avijit Roy.

Meanwhile, four leftist student organizations -Chhatra Federation, Chhatra Oikko Forum, Socialist student front, Chhatri Moitri continued their protest demanding the immediate arrest of the killers of the publisher. They also brought out a demonstration procession on DU campus yesterday.
The general students of Dhaka University formed a human chain in front of Social Science Faculty in protest against the murder of publisher Dipan who was also a former student of DU economics department.  
They convened the law enforcer agencies to bring out the perpetrators as soon as possible. The students brought out a silent procession bearing black badge on mouth.
