Share prices drop

Key share price indices at the country’s twin bourses—Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) - dropped yesterday after two consecutive sessions of gain, reports UNB.
The DSE key index, DSEX dropped 40.20 points or 0.88 per cent to close at 4511.31 on the day. Of the 321 issues traded, 70 gained, 208 declined and 43 remained unchanged. Shares worth Tk 290.11 crore changed hands at the DSE yesterday as  against Tk 320.61 crore on Tuesday.
Kay and Que topped the top 10 losers list at Dhaka bourse while other companies were Zeal Bangla Sugar Mills, Samorita Hospital, Orion Infusion, Exim Bank 1st Mutual Fund, Modern Dyeing & Screen Printing, Savar Refractories, Intech Limited, Saiham Cotton Mills and Mozaffar Hossain Spinning Mills.
The top five turnover leaders at the DSE were Ifad Autos, Kds Accessories, Quasem Drycells, C & A Textiles and Bangladesh Submarine Cable Company.
Top five gainers at the DSE were 3rd ICB Mutual Fund, Aramit, Atlas Bangladesh, ICB AMCL 2nd NRB Mutual Fund and KDS Accessories.
The key index at the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), CASPI lost 123.54 points to reach 13795.17 at close on Wednesday.
Of the 228 issues traded, 35 advanced, 163 suffered loss and 30 remained unchanged.
The value of the traded issues at the port city bourse was Tk 18.54 crore on the day.
