World Children’s Day today

The World Children’s Day-2019 will be observed in the country today while Children’s Rights Week will also begin on the same day.

The theme of this year’s day is ‘Today’s Children will bring the light, keep the world better’.

The government has taken elaborate programmes across the country, marking the World Children’s Day and Children’s Rights Week. To mark the day and week, Ministry of Women and Children Affairs and Bangladesh Shishu Academy have taken elaborate programmes from October 7 to October 14.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is expected to inaugurate World Children’s Day and Children’s Rights Week at Bangladesh Shishu Academy auditorium on October 9 at 10 am.
