Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal yesterday said that Bangladesh is now glittering in the international index of trade and commerce after the country had been on the peak of successes in social indexes for the last couple of years.
“Under the worthy leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, daughter of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Bangladesh is moving ahead and will continue to move,” he said.
The finance minister was addressing a roadside rally under Nangolkot upazila in Cumilla district, said a press release.
Kamal said Bangladesh has made a turnaround in the global index of trade and commerce despite various challenges and obstacles while Bangladesh is among the top 20 improving countries in the “Doing Business Report 2020” by the World Bank due to various steps undertaken by the government as well as reforms in the investment-related institutions.
Nangolkot upazila Awami League, Jubo League and Bangladesh Chhatra League jointly organised the rally.
