Gazipur: Police detained 43 Bangladesh National Party (BNP) activists from different places of the city during a drive continuing for 24 hours still yesterday morning.
Police said the 43 activists were detained on suspicion of planning subversive activities. Police arrested 36 activists from Tongi police station area, three from Kapasia, one from Joydebpur and three others from Kaliganj.
