Grenade found on RU campus

Rajshahi: Police recovered a grenade from Rajshahi University central mosque premises yesterday, reports UNB.
Humayun Kabir, officer-in-charge of Motihar Police Station, said being informed by local people, police rushed to the sport and encircled the place with a rope.
Police also informed the bomb disposal team of Rab-5 and security has been beefed up in the area until the arrival of the bomb disposal team which is now in Joypurhat, he said.
RU Proctor Professor Tarikul Hasan, said, “It’s a matter of worry and we have asked the law enforcement agencies for investigating the matter with importance.”
