ACC set to file case against ex-RDA chief, 9 others

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) yesterday cleared approval of filing a case against a former chairman of Rajshahi Development Authority (RDA) and nine others for allegedly allocating land illegally to locals.

The commission decided to file the case considering the recommendation of its inquiry officer Md Al-Amin. ACC spokesperson Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya confirmed it.

The case will be filed against ex-chairman of RDA Tapan Chandra Majumder, RDA former estate officer Abu Bakar Siddique, accountant Md Rustam Ali, the then lower-division assistant Mostak Ahmed, residents of Boyalia thana Md Enamul Haque, Abu Raihan Shoeb Ahmed Siddiqui and Dr SM Khodeja Nahar Begum, resident of Lakhmipur Dr Md Rabiu Islam Swapan, Aesthetic Design and Development Limited Managing Director Md Mahfujul Haque and Md Khairul Alam.
