Gambling machine seized
STAFF REPORTER, Dhaka
The Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate yesterday recovered a casino machine from a Chinese restaurant in the capital.
Acting on a tip-off, a 10-member team, led by additional director general Mohammed Neyazur Rahman and Shamima Rahman, raided the New Dragon Chinese Restaurant at Banani and recovered a mahjong, which is used as a gambling machine.
In its investigation, the Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate came to know Ninad Trade International had imported seven sets of mahjong in July last year.
