Bangladesh are looking forward to have a well warm up before their match against Qatar when they will play their second practice match against Bhutan today ahead of their home match of the FIFA 2022 World Cup and the 2023 Asia Cup joint qualifiers at the Bangabandhu National Stadium.

The match will be kick off at 7 pm. BTV and Bangla TV will telecast the match live.

Bangladesh, who had a comfortable 4-0 win in their first practice match against Bhutan, will play with same target and same strategy as they played their first FIFA Friendly mach when the team’s head coach told the reporters in a press conference yesterday.

Jamie Day said, “In the second match our target will also be to win and game plan will also be as it was in the first match.”

The first match was held on a rain affected pitch when the overnight and the rain before the match the ground was not easy to play usual game, though Bangladesh had an easy win, Jamie said, “I think, if the weather would be good then boys will be able to perform better.”

Jamie was very happy with the forwards doing well as Jibon scored twice with Biplu and Robiul also found the mark once each. “It is very good sign, strikers getting goals, really it was very big headache that strikers did not getting goals, so I think problems are gradually trimming down.”

Jamie replying to a query said that his main focus is now on Qatar match – “We worked out mostly with our defence and attacking zone because our next match will be against Qatar, a big power of Asian football. It is just a rehearsal before a big match.”

“In fact, we are looking forward to the game, win the game and take the motivation into the game against Qatar,” said Jamie.

Bhutan coach Pema said that it will be prestigious tie for them –“It is a match of prestige issue for us, we want to win the match after conceding defeat in the first match and so of course we will play to win the match.”

Pema mentioned since the first match was played on a rain affected ground they could not play their usual game. “If there would be no rain tomorrow I think it would be a different kind of match, Bangladesh is good side, we are not also weak side.”
