President Abdul Hamid yesterday urged the Malaysian investors to invest more in Bangladesh.
The president made the request when Malaysian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Norlin Binti Othman made her farewell call on him at Bangabhaban, reports BSS.
During the meeting, the president said the Bangladeshi workers in Malaysia are playing important role for the socio-economic development of both the countries.
Abdul Hamid also urged the Malaysian government to take more workers from Bangladesh.
He expressed satisfaction over the existing bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Malaysia and hoped that the recently concluded ministerial level meeting of the two countries would help strengthen the existing relations.
Norlin Binti Othman said Malaysia considers Bangladesh as a good friend and she would continue her effort to strengthen the relations between the two countries as a friend of Bangladesh.
