SC refuses to stay HC order on Prof Fouzia’s appointment

The chamber court yesterday refused to stay Professor Fouzia Rezwan’s appointment as the principal of Viqarunnisa Noon School and College (VNSC). Chamber judge of the Appellate Division Justice Hasan Foez Siddique passed “no order” on a petition filed seeking a stay order on Prof Fouzia’s appointment. The chamber judge also sent the petition to the full bench of the Appellate Division for hearing on October 21.

Earlier on September 17, the HC lifted its stay order on her joining to the post of the principal after hearing on a writ petition filed by Supreme Court lawyer Advocate Eunus Ali Akond challenging the legality of Prof Fouzia’s appointment.
