A total of 491 dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals across the country in the last 24 hours. Of them, 159 were admitted to different Dhaka hospitals and 332 to hospitals outside the capital. Meanwhile, a total of 81,052 patients have already been released after treatment, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) control room. As of now, the number of recorded dengue patients has hit 83,481. Of them, at least 52,636 were hospitalised in August alone. The number of dengue patients currently undergoing treatment in government and private hospitals in the country is 2,226.
In total, 903 patients are currently receiving treatment in 41 government and private hospitals in the capital, whereas a total of 1,323 patients are undergoing treatment outside the capital. The DGHS has so far analysed 116 out of 203 cases of death and confirmed 68 deaths to have been caused by the mosquito-borne disease.
