The six newly commissioned ships of Bangladesh Shipping Corporation (BSC) earned over Tk 140 crore till August of this year. The information was revealed at a meeting of the corporation held at the Shipping Ministry in the capital yesterday with State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury in the chair, said a press release of the ministry. The meeting was informed that a process is on to collect six more ships for the BSC with credit assistance from the Chinese government. Three bulk carrier ships were added to BSC’s fleet respectively on July 27, October 10 and December 30 last year, while three product oil tankers on January 25, March 1 and May 25 this year.
