Miscreants stabbed a rickshaw-puller to death in Adabor area of the capital yesterday, police and hospital sources said, reports BSS.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Adabor Police Station Sheikh Shahinur Rahman said the victim, Osman Gani, 35, was a rickshaw-puller and he was severely stabbed by a gang of snatchers on the street at road no-14 here.
"Muggers waylaid Osman's rickshaw and stabbed him indiscriminately at about 4:50 am. He died on the spot," the OC added. Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH), Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Kabir Hossain, who carried the body later, said the blood-stained body bore injury marks on the throat, chest and belly. The body has been kept in the DMCH morgue for autopsy, according to a hospital source.
