Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim yesterday condemned the recent killing of and attacks on publishers and bloggers and said
"Those who were trying to destabilise the country by killings and gruesome attacks would be defeated, soon.", reports BSS.
"We will overcome fear and be victorious. The Bengali nation had done it before for truth and justice and we will do it again,” he said.
The minister was speaking to journalists at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital after visiting those who were injured in the attack inside Shuddhashar Prokashani.
"I've seen them. They're improving. But Tareque's situation needs to review as his injuries are grievous, "he said and added "the physicians were doing their work very sincerely."
"A medical board has been formed for their treatment. They will take necessary steps," he said.
"Directed by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, they are giving the injured the best possible treatment. We hope they will recover soon and return to their beloved ones, "The minister added.
Nasim said "Islam is our holy religion. It is a religion of peace. It does not allow for extra-judicial killing or terrorism.
Those who are doing it are not only deviants but also bigots and militants who kill people. People will never support them"
