A court rejected bail petition of two accused in Japanese national Hoshi Kunio murder case and sent them to jail yesterday.
The two accused--Humayun Kabir Hira and Rashedunnabi Khan Biplob-- were produced before the Senior Judicial Magistrate’s Court, said Court Inspector Foqrul Islam iformed Advocate Aftab Hossain, lawyer for the defence, submitted the bail petition.
Senior Judicial Magistrate Safiul Alam rejected the bail petition and ordered sending the duo to jail.
Humayun Kabir Hira, business partner of the murdered Japanese citizen was earlier placed on twenty-five days’ remands in different terms.
On Octobor,29, Humayun Kabir Hira gave a conversational statement before magistrate.
Hira told police how many people were involved in the murder. Other accused-- Rashedunnabi Khan Biplob had been taken on ten days’ remand.
But after four days police produced Biplob before court from where he was sent to jail. Hoshi Kunio was gunned down by unidentified miscreants on October 3 when he was going to his grass farming project at Alutari by a rickshaw around 10am. Three unidentified gunmen ridding a motor-cycle came to the residence of Khoka Mia, where Hoshi Kunio used to live, and shoot him from a close range. He died on the spot.
