An exclusive group art exhibition titled ‘17’ by seventeen modern and contemporary artists of Bangladesh will begin on Friday at Galleri Kaya in Uttara of the capital.
Eminent artist professor Murtaja Baseer will inaugurate the two-week exhibition as chief guest on Friday evening.
A selection of 48 works done in Oil, acrylic, indigenous pigment, watercolour, ink, charcoal, pastel and pencil on paper and canvas will be showcased in the exhibition.
The artworks those will be put on display in the exhibition are done by--Aminul Islam, Murtaja Baseer, Qayyum Chowdhury, Samarjit Roy Choudhury, Hashem Khan, Rafiqun Nabi, Hamiduzzaman Khan, Kalidas Karmakar, Chandra Shekhar Dey, Mohammad Eunus, Jamal Ahmed, Kazi Rakib, Ranjit Das, Ahmed Shamsuddoha, Sheikh Afzal Hossain, Shishir Bhattacharjee and Mohammad Iqbal.
The exhibition will remain open to all every day from 11am to 7:30pm, until October 5.
