Quader tells party men

Awami League (AL) General Secretary Obaidul Quader yesterday urged the party men not to do business using the pictures of Bangabandhu, Sheikh Hasina and Sheikh Hasina’s son Sajeeb Wazed Joy. He was addressing a discussion organized by Tanti League marking the National Mourning Day at the AL central office in the city’s Bangabandhu Avenue area. He also said, BNP is gradually shrinking in the politics of vote and suffering from identity crisis.

“As it has been established in the people’s mind that BNP was involved in Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s killing and it tried to kill Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina through grenade attacks. Leaders of the party (BNP) are talking nonsense, thinking about their endangered future,” he said. Presided over by Tanti League President Engineer Mohammad Shawkat Ali, AL Office Secretary Dr Abdus Sobhan Golap, Dhaka City South AL General Secretary Shahe Alam Murad and Tanti League General Secretary Khagendra Chandra Debnath addressed the discussion, among others.

“Their (BNP) hands are stained with blood as they do the politics of killing,” he said, adding that they tried to erase Bangabandhu from the history of Bangladesh, but they themselves have been erased. Reason behind the arrogant words of Tarique Rahman is that he was the mastermind behind the 21 August grenade attack and his father Ziaur Rahman was the mastermind behind the 15 August carnage, AL general secretary said.

Noting that Bangabandhu’s family is the best example of honesty and all of them, including family members of Sheikh Hasina and Sheikh Rehana, are established in their respective workplaces, Quader urged the leaders and activists not to do business using the pictures of Bangabandhu, Sheikh Hasina and Sheikh Hasina’s son Sajeeb Wazed Joy.

Tarique Rahman is spreading falsehood and doing politics of conspiracy staying in London, he said, adding that when they (BNP) face the truth in the month of August, they become intolerant.
