Suspended director of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Khandaker Enamul Basir yesterday filed a petition with the High Court (HC) seeking bail in a bribery case. His lawyer MM Jamal Hossain, who submitted the petition on behalf of Enamul to the concerned division of the HC, said a bench of Justice Farid Ahmed and Justice ASM Abdul Mobin would hear the petition tomorrow. Earlier, a Dhaka court sent Basir to jail on July 23 in a case of accepting Tk 40 lakh as bribe. A private TV channel brought the incident into the light by a report that shows police's DIG Mizanur Rahman gave Tk 40 lakh to Enamul to get a clean chit in a corruption case.
