Discussion on Bangabandhu death anniv held

Chandpur District Journalists Forum in Dhaka organised a discussion marking Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s 44th death anniversary at the National Press Club in the capital on Saturday. Former home minister and Liberation War Sector Commander Major (ret’d) Raifqul Islam attended the programme as the chief guest while Chandpur-2 lawmaker Advocate M Nurul Amin Ruhul attended as the main speaker, says a press release. In his speech, the former home minister highlighted various aspects of Bangabandhu’s life. National Press Club General Secretary Farida Yasmin was present as special guest. Presided over by Chandpur District Journalists Forum President Freedom Fighter M Mofizul Islam, the programme was also attended by, among others, National Press Club Senior Vice-President Omar Faruq, BFUJ former Secretary General Abdul Jalil Bhuiyan and DUJ General Secretary Sohel Haider Chowdhury.
