558 return home after dengue treatment

A total of 558 dengue patients have, so far, returned home after getting treatment at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH). At present, 24 patients are undergoing treatment at the hospital where the number of the dengue patients is gradually decreasing, said Dr Saiful Ferdous, Deputy Director of the hospital, while talking to BSS here yesterday. He mentioned that seven patients got admitted to the hospital on Wednesday and Thursday where the number of released patients is eleven on the two days. Dr Ferdous also said a total of 583 patients received treatment in the hospital since July and 558 of them returned home after becoming cure. There are all types of treatment facilities in the hospital so the dengue patients got treatment adequately, he added. Doctors, nurses and other staffs of the hospital have also created awareness among the people against spreading of the deadly disease.
One arrested with fake currency notes

A team of Rapid Action Battalion Unit-8 yesterday arrested one Kanchan Haoladar, 55, from Dehergati area under Babuganj upazila of Barishal. Forty-four fake currency notes of one thousand taka were recovered from the possession of the arrestee. Saidur Rahman, deputy assistant director of RAB-8, as complainant lodged a case in this connection with Babuganj police station and the arrestee was sent to jail after producing before the court, said Raisuddin, additional superintendent of police and spokesman of RAB-8, issuing a press release.
