BAF chief returns from Russia

Air Chief Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat returned home yesterday after a six-day official visit to Russia.The Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) chief attended ‘The International Aviation and Space Salon (MAKS-2019)’ during his visit. The air show provides a unique opportunity to aviation experts and businessmen for establishing multi-level connections and developing industrial cooperation.

Air Chief Marshal Serniabat also met his Russian counterpart and exchanged views on different issues of bilateral interest, the Inter Service Public Relation (ISPR) said in a statement in the afternoon. During the call on, the Chief of Air Staff highly appreciated and recognised the contribution of Russia in building BAF by providing modern aircraft, radar and other equipment soon after Bangladesh’s independence.

He showed keen interest to take this bilateral Air Force relationship to a higher standard and proposed Air Staff Talk between BAF and Russian Air Force to explore areas of future cooperation.
