Japan Gymnastics Federation (JGF) donated some equipment to Bangladesh Gymnastics Federation (BGF) yesterday at a function NSC Gymnasium in the capital on Wednesday. Charge d’ Affairs, Embassy of Japan Hiroyuki Yamaya in Bangladesh handed over the equipment to the president of the BGF in the presence of Syed Shahed Reza, secretary general of the Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) and the secretary of the National Sports Council (NSC).
The Japan Gymnastics Federation also provided the tax of Taka 12 lakhs of the costly equipment, they donated to its Bangladesh counterparts. Charge d’ Affairs, Embassy of Japan Hiroyuki Yamaya in address said that Japan will continue to present equipment to Bangladesh also in future.
The JGF handed over one set of ring bar and parallel bar when 17-year-old gymnast Khumi Kitong of Quantum Cosmo School of Bangladesh who was one of the performers with the new equipments, said that the new apparatus would help them get better outfits in the training.
