The High Court yesterday fixed October 23 for submission of an investigation report into the death of schoolboy Titash Ghosh, in an ambulance on board a ferry in Madaripur after its departure for Dhaka - where the boy was headed for enhanced treatment- got delayed by three hours waiting for a joint secretary. The incident brought to light the ill-effects of the so-called 'VIP culture' prevalent in the country. The bench of Justice FRM Nazmul Ahasan and Justice KM Kamrul Kader passed the order after Deputy Attorney General Abdullah Al Mahmud on behalf of Public Administration sought more time for submitting the probe report.
