Directorate of Environment (DOE) in Chattogram recovered one tonne of banned polythene shopping bags after conducting a drive at a polythene-manufacturing factory in city’s Aturardepu on Tuesday. However, none of the owner as well as employees were present during the drive. On receiving information, a team of Department of Environment (DoE) conducted a drive at the factory and recovered the polythene bags, said Azadur Rahman Mollick, director of DoE. DoE also sealed off the polythene-manufacturing factory.
