Jesmin Jahan Jhuma’s first solo exhibition titled ‘Prokity O Manusher Ontokoron’ (Connection between Nature and Human) will end today at the Zainul Gallery of Dhaka University. Hailing from Habiganj, an eastern district of the country, Jhuma appreciates nature and also appreciates its connections and that is why in her own way she applied an approach to express that connection. Eminent sculptor Ferdousi Priyabhashini inaugurated the exhibition on October 25 at the Zainul Gallery, where artist Shishir Bhattacharjee, Dean, Faculty of Fine Art, University of Dhaka was present as special guest.Featuring 16 acrylic and mixed-media works on large canvases, the artist has shown skill in arranging the paintings to show the connection between man and nature.
