AFP, MUMBAI: South Africa trailed by 250 runs with eight wickets remaining at the close of play on the opening day of a warm-up game against an Indian Board President's XI Friday.
The Indians scored 296 all out after winning the toss and opting to bat first in the two-day match at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai.
Right-handed batsman Lokesh Rahul top scored for the Indian XI with 72 off 132 balls.
