Call to reduce rural-urban gap

Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun today called for reducing the gap between the rural and urban people’s lifestyle by ensuring availability of city amenities in every village.

 “We will have to reduce the gap between the living standard of rural and urban people. Banks and Financial Institutions (FIs) can take realistic programmes to this end,” he told a discussion on ‘National Mourning Day’ at Sonali Bank headquarters in the city.

Acting Chairman of Sonali Bank Limited AKM Kamrul Islam presided over the discussion while Managing Director of the bank gave the welcome speech.
