The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) has cleared two former engineers of Bangladesh Water Development Board (BWDB) of graft charges, reports UNB. The commission gave clean chit to former executive engineer ATM Habibullah and former superintending engineer M Khalilur Rahman of BWDB Rajshahi division through a circular issued by its secretary Abu M Mustafa Kamal recently and posted on the ACC website on Thursday. According to the ACC sources, the national anti-graft body had received a graft allegation in 2004 that both BWDB engineers embezzled money from a development project of the water development board without offering any tender. Over a decade after receiving the allegation, Rajshahi district office of the ACC recently completed its probe into the allegation and did not find any corruption or irregularities in implementation of the water development project, they said.
