RMG factory worker killed in road crash

A worker of a readymade garment factory was killed in a road accident at Itahata area of the city yesterday.

He was identified as Sohel Rana, 26, son of Ismail Hossain of Borgati village of Barishal. He was an operator of AZ Fashions Limited, a RMG factory of the area. He lived with his family members at Peyarabagan area of the city.

Officer in charge of Bason police station under GMP AKM Kawser Chowdhury said, Sohel Rana was returning his residence with a bicycle after his night shift duty. When he reached Itahata area on Dhaka-Tangail highway, a Gazipur-bound bus of Anabil Paribahan hit him from behind, leaving him dead on the spot.  On information, police rushed to the spot and recovered the body and sent to Gazipur Shahid Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
