Savar AL leader hurt in attack by party men

Savar upazila Awami League general secretary Ali Haider came under attack by party men during a meeting at the house of Dr Enamur Rahman, MP at Talbagh in Savar yesterday noon, reports UNB. Ali Haider said a preparatory meeting was called at the house of local MP Dr Enamur Rahman in the run-up to the central council of Awami League where presidents and general secretaries of union units of Savar took part. While Ali Haider was delivering his speech, another local AL leader snatched his microphone and locked into an altercation with him over the council of upazila unit AL, said witnesses.
