Man succumbs to injuries after 34 days of clash

A man, who suffered injuries during a clash between two groups of villagers in Sarail upazila on September 26, died at his residence yesterday, reports UNB from Brahmanbaria. The deceased was identified as Mannar Ali, 55, a resident of Chunta village in the upazila. Police said the clash erupted following an altercation between supporters of Hira Miah Master and Safar Ali during a friendly football match at Chuta AC Academy ground on September 26. Mannar sustained injuries as he tried to stop the clash. He was admitted to Sadar Hospital and later shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) in the capital for better treatment. But he was taken back to the district Sadar Hospital as his physical condition did not improve. His family members took him to the house on October 28 from the hospital seeing no improvement.
