Student dies falling into Ctg fountain

A diploma engineering student died after falling into a fountain from a hillock in Mirasarai of the district on Thursday.

The deceased is Mehedi Hasan, 21, a student of National Institute of Technology (NIT).   

He slipped into Ruposhi Fountain from the top of the hillock at Baro Kamaldaha around 11 am and went missing, said Shariful Islam, an official

of Sitakunda Fire Station.

On information, divers from fire service rushed in and recovered the body around 2 pm, he said.

Hailing from Natore district, Mehedi had been living in Proshanti Residential Area in the port city along with his family.
