University student held for violating girl in Khulna

Police detained a student of a private university for violating a girl after promising her of marriage at Mujgunni in the city on Thursday night.

The arrestee is Sinjon Roy, 25, son of Prashanto Kumar Roy of Sonadanga area of Khulna city.

Mamtajul Haq, officer-in-charge of Sonadaga Police Station, said Sinjon, a student of North Western University, developed physical relationship with a student of the university with false  promise of marriage.

On Thursday night, the girl came to know that Sinjon is going to marry another girl. When the girl went to meet Sinjon in Mujgunni area of the city he forced her to leave the place.

 Seeing the incident, local people informed the matter to Sonadanga Model Police who detained  Sinjon from the spot for interrogation.
