Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi has said the anti-liberation forces who did not want independence, have brutally assassinated Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to reverse independence.
“Escaping death fortunately by the grace of Almighty Allah, incumbent Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working relentlessly to build a ‘Sonar Bangla’ to fulfill her father’s dream taking Bangladesh to a newer height today proving that we can also do,” he said. The minister said this at a discussion arranged in observance of the National Mourning Day-2019 and 44th martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Beer Muktijoddha Tipu Munshi auditorium in Kawnia on Thursday as the chief guest.
Tipu Munshi said Sheikh Hasina knows such a magic that has turned Bangladesh into a role model of development all over the world. She is working to improve the fate of the country people.
“We have to take oath of transforming mourning into energy at this 44th martyrdom anniversary of Bangabandhu and work unitedly for building an exploitation-free, developed and secular ‘Sonar Bangla’ to realise his dream,” he said.
“We have to become golden and educated people and root out corruption from the society to build the developed ‘Sonar Bangla’ as dreamt by Bangabandhu to make independence meaningful for every citizen,” he added.
