A Dhaka court yesterday framed charges against Daily Amar Desh acting editor Mahmudur Rahman and eight other people in a case filed in connection with the torching of a vehicle in Tejgaon, reports UNB.
Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Ali Masud Sheikh framed the charges rejecting discharge pleas, and fixed February 28 for the next hearing.
The others who were indicted are Abdur Rahim, Ripon Kumar Kundu, Anwaruzzaman, Mehedi Hasan, Lutfur Rahman, Aminul Islam, Shahjahan Babu and Jahangir Khan. The court also issued a warrant for the arrest of four accused as they did not appear before the court.
