Mayor of Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) AJM Nasir Uddin today urged the city dwellers not to slaughter their sacrificial animal on the roads. “Sufficient spots have been designated in the city for slaughtering animals on Eid Day so that the waste could be managed properly”, Nasir told the journalists after visiting the construction works of Jamiatul Falah Mosque Complex Eid-pendal this afternoon.
CCC has taken various measures involving around 5,000 cleaners to remove the waste of sacrificial animals within 24 hours on the day of Eid-ul-Azha aiming to keep the city clean and check pollution, he said. Nasir said four separate control rooms led by four councilors would be opened for quick removal of the animal waste. The mayor requested the city dwellers to cooperate with the authorities concerned for proper management of animal waste.
