Online registration for JU intake tests begins

The online registration for the intake tests of Jahangirnagar University (JU) under the academic session 2019-20 began yesterday and it will continue till September 7. University authorities have sought applications from the admission seekers under a total of six faculties and three institutes under this academic session. The price of the admission form has been increased for each faculties and institutes than the previous year.
According to the education section of JU registrar office, Tk 600 has been fixed after increasing Tk 50 than the previous year for the Mathematical and Physical Sciences faculty under A Unit, Social Sciences faculty B unit, Arts and Humanities faculty under C Unit, Biological Sciences faculty under D unit and Business studies faculty under E Unit respectively. Besides, Tk 400 has been fixed after increasing Tk 50 than the previous year for the Law faculty under F Unit, Institute of Business Administration under G unit, Institute of Information Technology under H unit and Institute of Comparative Literature and Culture under I unit respectively.
In previous academic sessions 2015-16, and 2016-17, admission seekers seeking admission on Unit A, B, C, D and E had to pay Tk 525 and Tk 550 respectively. For the upcoming academic session, they will have to pay Tk 50 more for per application than the previous years. However, different students bodies of the university have denounced the decision of the authorities as they decided to increase the price of admission form for the upcoming intake test.
