Dhaka Dynamites dismayed at Shakib contract with Rangpur Riders

Dhaka Dynamites (DD) authorities have expressed resentment over ace cricket all-rounder Shakib Al Hasans abrupt signing of contract with a new Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) franchisee for the upcoming season of the BPL without the consent of DD. Shakib of DD on Monday signed a one year deal with Rangpur Riders (RR) which goes against the BPL Governing Council rules, said Dhaka Dynamites Chief Executive Officer Obaid R Nizam yesterday.
As per the rules, the governing council of the BPL will send letter to its league franchisees seeking the list of the retention players, he said adding that before the seeking of players list Shakib has
quit DD. Each franchisee can retain up to four players from their pool of players, who played the last edition of the domestic Twenty20 league for them.
And then a franchisee decides which player or players it will retain and which player or players it will release for the players draft.
Dhaka Dynamites CEO also alleged to the press that before the decision on retention of players how can a key player of a BPL franchisee ink deal with another BPL franchisee. He also said that it is not right thing at all.
A player cant do that. Even, a franchisee cant do that in breach of BPL governing councils decision. The DD top executive informed that they will soon inform the BPL Governing Council of the matter to take necessary steps to this end.
